چکیده
Hyalomma marginatum and rufipes are important vectors of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (CCHFV) in North Africa Southern Europe. They occasionally also reported from Central Western Europe where they likely introduced their natural range by migratory birds. In this study, we report findings molecular identification adults one nymph H. rufipes, primarily horses different regions the Czech Republic. While number ticks is small, to be an underrepresentation actual number. Due vector competence for CCHFV potential expansion into new areas with a changing climate, surveillance programs warranted.

Attachment preferences of Hyalomma truncatum and Hyalomma marginatum rufipes ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) on two sheep breeds.
Hyalomma ticks were collected from Merino and black-headed Dorper sheep and their attachment preferences determined. The preferred site of attachment for Hyalomma marginatum rufipes on both Dorper and Merino sheep was the anogenital and inguinal areas (75-76%). On Dorper sheep, H. truncatum attached predominantly to the anogenital and inguinal areas (67.7%). On Merino sheep, most adults of this...

متن کاملAn ultrastructural study of the development of Babesia occultans in the salivary glands of adult Hyalomma marginatum rufipes.
The development of Babesia occultans in the salivary glands of adult Hyalomma marginatum rufipes was studied with the electron microscope. Sporogony involved a process of multiple fission in which sporozoites formed from the periphery of a polymorphous sporont. Different stages of development were found concurrently in individual acini as well as within individual acinar cells. Mature sporozoit...

Ticks are important vectors in the transmission of a broad range of micropathogens to vertebrates, including humans. Because of the role of ticks in disease transmission, identifying and characterizing the micropathogen profiles of tick populations have become increasingly important. The objective of this study was to survey the micropathogens of Hyalomma rufipes ticks. Illumina HiSeq2000 techn...
